not ashamed~ a father's pray poem
Not ashamed
A young man had been to Wednesday Night Bible Study.
The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord's voice.
The young man couldn't help but wonder, 'Does God still speak to people?'
After service, he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they discussed the message. Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different ways.
It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home. Sitting in his car, he just began to pray, 'God...If you still speak to people, speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey.'
As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought to stop and buy a gallon of milk.
He shook his head and said out loud, 'God is that you?' He didn't get a reply and started on toward home.
But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk.
The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize the voice of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli.
'Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk.' It didn't seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk. He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home.
As he passed Seventh Street, he again felt the urge, 'Turn down that street.'
This is crazy he thought, and drove on past the intersection.
Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street .
At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh.
Half jokingly, he said out loud, 'Okay, God, I will.'
He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in a semi- commercial area of town. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighborhoods either.
The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the people were already in bed.
Again, he sensed something, 'Go and give the milk to the people in the house across the street.' The young man looked at the house. It was dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already asleep. He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat.
'Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are going to be mad and I will look stupid.' Again, he felt like he should go and give the milk.
Finally, he opened the door, 'Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the door and I will give them the milk. If you want me to look like a crazy person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for some thing, but if they don't answer right away, I am out of here.'
He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise inside. A man's voice yelled out, 'Who is it? What do you want?' Then the door opened before the young man could get away.
The man was standing there in his jeans and T-shirt. He looked like he just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't seem too happy to have some stranger standing on his doorstep. 'What is it?'
The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, 'Here, I brought this to you.'
The man took the milk and rushed down a hallway.
Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the kitchen.
The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying. The man had tears streaming down his face.
The man began speaking and half crying, 'We were just praying. We had some big bills this month and we ran out of money. We didn't have any milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking God to show me how to get some milk.'
His wife in the kitchen yelled out, 'I ask him to send an Angel with some.
Are you an Angel?'
The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had on him and put in the man's hand. He turned and walked back toward his car and the tears were streaming down his face. He knew that God still answers prayers.
Sometimes it's the simplest things that God asks us to do that cause us, if we are obedient to what He's asking, to be able to hear His voice more clearly than ever. Please listen, and obey ! It will bless you (and the world). Phil 4:13

Hands...
This is good; I'll never look at my hands the same!
Grandpa, some ninety-plus years, sat feebly on the patio bench. He didn't move, just sat with his head down staring at his hands. When I sat down beside him, he didn't acknowledge my presence and the longer I sat I wondered if he was OK.
Grandpa, some ninety-plus years, sat feebly on the patio bench. He didn't move, just sat with his head down staring at his hands. When I sat down beside him, he didn't acknowledge my presence and the longer I sat I wondered if he was OK.
Finally, not really wanting to disturb him but wanting to check on him at the same time, I asked him if he was OK. He raised his head and looked at me and smiled. "Yes, I'm fine, thank you for asking," he said in a clear strong voice.
"I didn't mean to disturb you, Grandpa, but you were just sitting here staring at your hands and I wanted to make sure you were OK," I explained to him. "Have you ever looked at your hands," he asked. "I mean really looked at your hands?"
"I didn't mean to disturb you, Grandpa, but you were just sitting here staring at your hands and I wanted to make sure you were OK," I explained to him. "Have you ever looked at your hands," he asked. "I mean really looked at your hands?"
I slowly opened my hands and stared down at them. I turned them over, palms up and then palms down. No, I guess I had never really looked at my hands as I tried to figure out the point he was making. Grandpa smiled and related this story.
"Stop and think for a moment about the hands you have, how they have served you well throughout your years. These hands, though wrinkled, shriveled and weak have been the tools I have used all my life to reach out and grab and embrace life.
"Stop and think for a moment about the hands you have, how they have served you well throughout your years. These hands, though wrinkled, shriveled and weak have been the tools I have used all my life to reach out and grab and embrace life.
"They put food in my mouth and clothes on my back. As a child my mother taught me to fold them in prayer. They tied my shoes and pulled on my boots. They have been dirty, scraped and raw, swollen and bent.
"They were uneasy and clumsy when I tried to hold my newborn son. Decorated with my wedding band they showed the world that I was married and loved someone special.
"They trembled and shook when I buried my parents and spouse and walked my daughter down the aisle. They have covered my face, combed my hair, and washed and cleansed the rest of my body. They have been sticky and wet, bent and broken, dried and raw.
"And to this day when not much of anything else of me works real well. These hands hold me up, lay me down, and again continue to fold in prayer.
"And to this day when not much of anything else of me works real well. These hands hold me up, lay me down, and again continue to fold in prayer.
"These hands are the mark of where I've been and the ruggedness of my life. But more importantly it will be these hands that God will reach out and take when he leads me home. And with my hands He will lift me to His side and there I will use these hands to touch the face of Christ ."
I will never look at my hands the same again. And I remember well the day that God reached out and took my Grandpa's hands and led him home. When my hands are hurt or sore I think of Grandpa. I know he has been stroked and caressed and held by the hands of God. I, too, want to touch the face of God and feel His hands upon my face.
When you receive this, say a prayer for the person who sent it to you and watch God's answer to prayer work in your life. Let's continue praying for one another.
When you receive this, say a prayer for the person who sent it to you and watch God's answer to prayer work in your life. Let's continue praying for one another.
Passing this on to anyone you consider a friend will bless you both.

DaGeDar are coming~
Racing DaGeDar™ balls requires skill, practice, agility and finesse. Players must control the speed and velocity of DaGeDar™ balls in order to propel them through thrilling loops and turns without forcing the balls off the tracks. Exciting tricks and stunts can be refined by whirling DaGeDar™ balls in Spinners or loading several balls into Battle Launchers to unleash them with supercharged battle play.
My little boy would play with these things for hours... I too would love playing them. Back in my days as a kid all we had was marbles and jacks or stick and match box cars... I would have to use wooded ramps if i wanted my cars to race down a hill. Nowadays toys are so much better to play with. No wonder us dads haven't grown up yet and love playing with our kids!
DaGeDar™ (pronounced DAH-geh-DAAR) collectible supercharged battle balls have a special feel and weight that almost demand to be raced! Each DaGeDar™ battle ball boasts a graphic design that reflects the true energy contained within. More than 240 different DaGeDar™ ball graphics are planned for release this year, with varying degrees of rarity. Each ball carries a special code number that when registered on the DaGeDar™ website (www.dagedar.com) will reveal the true spirit contained within the DaGeDar™ ball, as well as its hidden powers, which can assist in racing strategy and let kids unleash the power within!

press release for the Mother's Day:
DOES A MOM IN YOUR LIFE READ ROMANCE NOVELS?
Put Her in One where She is the Star
RALEIGH, NC (USA) -- This Mother’s Day, Make Mom the Star
If the Mom in your life loves to read romance novels, make her the heroine this Mother’s Day in her own book, a personalized romance novel starring her and her Honey.
YourNovel.com, the creator of personalized romance novels, currently has over 30 titles to choose from, and each book is laced throughout with more than 25 details about the starring couple crafted from an online questionnaire, such as their names, hometown, places of work, eye and hair color, best friends, favorite perfume, cologne and music, affectionate nicknames for one another, and how long they’ve been a couple. The customized capers come in both huggy-kissy "mild" or sexy-seductive "wild" versions. There's even the option of adding the starring couple's photo to the book cover, and novels come in paperback or hardback, with eBook options, as well.
Depending on the title selected, the starring couple finds themselves skinny-dipping in the Caribbean, frolicking under a waterfall, making love none-too-easily in a swinging hammock, or encountering a pair of vampires. And, because these novels are adventure romances, the starring couple will also be chasing bad guys on wave runners, foiling a stalker on a luxury cruise ship, tangling with a cougar in the wild, fighting off bad guys near Rome’s Coliseum, confronting black pearl thieves in Tahiti or dodging poachers on an African safari.
YourNovel.com’s founders Kathy M. Newbern and J.S. Fletcher, who form the husband/wife writing team Fletcher Newbern, have been penning the novels since they met and fell in love in 1992. They've written 20 of the company's novels and have groomed new authors to expand the line-up.
YourNovel.com's paperbacks range from 150-190 pages and start at $39.95; hardbacks range from 200-230 pages and start at $84. Photos can be added to the cover for an additional $25. Priority shipping and handling is $7 in the U.S. or $16 on global orders. EBooks are also available starting under $20.
So put Mom into the starring role she deserves. Remember when she gave you that kid’s book starring you? Time to return the favor.

Mommy & Daddy Work To make Some Dough
(Daddys Point of View)Jennifer Lynn Pereyra
As a father I never think about going to work every day and how this makes my son feel.
I just know it is something I must do.
After reading this book I can relate more to why my wife wishes to stay home with our son.
I Loved how the story was written and she took the time to explain what different words mean
and why we should do things differently.
I can relate to the book so much more and my sons feelings now.
Plus since I am not much of a reader I can put the audio on for my son to listen too and then we can
discuss it together.
I think this would make it nice for teachers to use in there classroom's as kids can be so upset when
they are dropped off.
I was lucky to be able to offer a copy of the book to one of my lucky winners.
To win you must leave me a comment letting me know why you would like the book.
Then follow me on all three blogs:

Tilly's Tale-Review
Tilly's Tale
I would like to start the review out by saying this is a series of books
I know we can not adopt them all but what we can do is visit our local
So they adopt me I have a family finally.
But I am not sad as I have Dylan as a friend now.
My mum helps me stay groomed as a girl has to look good.
There is much more to this story but I am going to stop here as
I enjoyed sharing this book with my son and my husband and I look

Dylan's Tale
I wanted to share with all of my readers two awesome reviews my wife has up on her blog for two books called Tilly's Tale and Dylan's Tale
These are about rescue dogs Dylan's Tale
Only by rescue dogs I mean ones that had been beaten and abused.
I was able to sit down with my family and read them both.
I can tell you men do not cry but if you read these book you just might.
My son is only 3 and even though the books are for a more mature
audience I wanted to share with him why we are so kind to animals.
He could not believe someone would hit a dog.
So know when he sees animals he is even more kind to them which I like.
Since reading these books my family and I now volunteer at our local shelters
and we help them raise funds.
This is a nice way to be able to spend time with your children while teaching them.
I do not want to go into details on the books as I prefer you read my wife's reviews
but I can tell you there are 15 dogs and I look forward to reading about all of there stories.
My son is so excited to know one of the dogs is called Snoopy and another Charles as he
seems to think they where named after him.
I would like to ask everyone to go and purchase these books and donate them to your shelter
or so people who adopt would be able to read them and know how not to treat there dogs.
Now Please go by Mommies Point of View and read her reviews.
Plus we may have the Author answer questions for us in the future.
Thanks, David and Charlie

Review-Paper Toy Monsters
Paper Toy Monsters
Castleforte
PaperToy Monster is a book my wife was allowed to review on her blog and
I decided I would look at it as my son Loves Monsters.
So one night I sat down with him and we looked through it.
I can tell you he loved the Monsters and we spent a lot of time that eve.
making them and playing with them.
I am glad my wife was able to review this book as it has give me something
new to share with my son.
I also got it out while my BIL was here for dinner and he did not want to put it
down he was so amazed that he could actually make the monsters that he
know is wanting a copy of the book so he has it when my son visits.
I have not found one person who does not like it as my next door neighbor wants to
buy it from us only my wife will not sell it
Even her and my sister in law have gotten into making monsters with us so I can say
this book is for kids of all ages.
I hope you will check into it and once you do Please let me know what you think of it.
Thanks, as I am off to watch Wrestling with my son and make some more monsters.
Thanks for reading my Review

Review Danielle Steele Southern Lights
Danielle Steel
Southern Lights
401 pages
5 Stars
I have been reading Danielle Steel since I was in high school.
I wait for her books to come out.
I have never ever found one of her books I have not liked.
I also like the fact you can watch them on TV.
So I was so happy when for Valentines my husband went and
got this book for me as I was not expecting it.
As a mom of a 3 year old I never buy books for myself anymore
so it is nice to know my husband watches for her books to come
out and picks them up for me.
Hint Hint David another one is coming out soon I saw it on the Internet.
What books can you not do without?
I would like to share my thoughts with you of Southern Lights
Normally I prefer romances and this is a Fiction.
It is also a little bit of a thriller.
It is one of those books which is hard to put down.
I feel in Love with both the mom and the daughter and I hated
knowing they had to be separated.
I liked seeing her forge a relationship with her dad.
I would like to have pushed her step mother off a cliff but that is not nice
so Please forgive me but she is that type of person.
I can tell you you will laugh and cry at this story.
So if you have not read it Please give it a try and come back and let me
know what you think of it as it is wonderful.

Feb 28th 2011-Family
As a husband and a father who works hard for a living I am amazed at all my wife does.
I saw her this weekend spend countless hours on the Internet to build her business as she
does reviews and giveaways and no matter how many times our son would stop her she would
answer him and return to work right away.
I am leaning muti-tasking from her and her friends big time.
I never thought I would own a Blog or do Reviews and Giveaways but I am as my wife has convinced
me I can do it and people will listen to what I have to say.
So without further ado she had me sit down and right out a schedule for my blog.
I am sure once your browse it you will see many mistakes or wonder why I am doing this so Please
leave me lots of comments so I can show my wife I can do it and that I am trying.
